This Privacy Policy explains how BZBLabs (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you use our mobile application RecallsWatch (the “App”) and related services.

Information We Collect
Information You Provide to Us
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials via Firebase Authentication.
- User Preferences: Your saved searches, favorited recalls, and notification preferences are stored to personalize your experience.
Information Collected Automatically
- Crash Reports: Firebase Crashlytics collects crash logs, device identifiers, OS version, and usage data to help us diagnose and fix issues.
- Analytics: Firebase Analytics collects anonymized usage data (session duration, feature interactions, screen views) to help us improve the App.
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and app version are collected for compatibility and troubleshooting.
Camera Access
RecallsWatch requires access to your device’s camera to enable barcode scanning of product labels. Camera input is processed entirely on your device and is used only to identify barcodes for recall lookups. We do not record, store, or transmit camera footage or images to our servers.
Product Barcodes
When you scan a product barcode, the barcode number is sent to our backend service to check for active recalls. This lookup is performed in real time and is not permanently associated with your account unless you choose to save a product to your watchlist.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the App’s recall lookup and notification functionality
- To authenticate your account and enable personalized features
- To improve the App through crash analysis and usage metrics
- To send you notifications about recalls affecting products you follow
- To respond to your inquiries and support requests
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, analytics, and crash reporting. Firebase’s use of your data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests.
- Aggregated Data: We may share anonymized, aggregated statistics that cannot identify individual users.
Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Crash reports and analytics data are retained for a period of 90 days. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest where applicable. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
Children’s Privacy
RecallsWatch is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice through the App or by email.
